The annual awards for Young Player of the Year and the Barry Lee Memorial Cup for service to the band were awarded at the Christmas concert. Congratulations to Patrick OHalloranBrown voted Young Player of the Year and to Edward Carr and Sam Ede jointly awarded the Barry Lee Cup. |

The band welcome Richard Flynn as our new percussionist. He has been out with the band on several concerts throughout the summer and has now joined on a permanent basis. |

Sara receives recognition of 20 years as band secretary |

At the Last Night of the Proms concert, in St. Johns church on Saturday, 1st October Ashbourne Town Band presented Sara Pountain with an engraved lead crystal goblet in recognition of 20 years service as secretary to the band. |

Shrovetide 2011 |

ATB are pleased to have been the nominated charity of Shrovetide 2011. On Sunday 13 March the band received a cheque for £730 from the Shrovetide Committee. This money will be put towards the cost of purchasing the band uniforms. |
